Our Story
In June 1987, when The Bangles' "Walk Like an Egyptian" topped the charts and "Three Men & A Baby" ruled the box office, fresh high school graduate Mark opened the doors to Marine Connection and embarked on a journey that would transform the boating industry.
Years earlier, at 13, Mark sold his aluminum Jon boat to fund a new mini-bike. The overwhelming response to his ad in the Palm Beach Post marked the start of his boat-selling venture. Little did he know it was the beginning of something big.
In the two decades that followed, Marine Connection became South Florida's premier boat shopping destination, earning recognition as the world's top dealer for several new boat brands. The acquisition by Super Boats & Yachts in 2010 spurred rapid growth, expanding from a single location in West Palm Beach to seven locations across Florida's southeast coast with the dynamic team of Danny Goldenberg and John Kutuk at the helm.
More than 35 years later, Marine Connection has grown into a legacy. Many original team members and loyal customers are still with us, celebrating this incredible milestone. Our achievements include being among the first dealerships to sell boats online and the very first to be honored on the Inc. 5000 list of America's fastest-growing companies. In 2021, we were named the Top Dealer in North America by Boating Industry Magazine.
